    • Say:
      • Before the Activity: “Friend! Let’s work together to make a special meal.”
      • During the Activity: “We have dishes that we can set the table with and food that we can cook and serve. Will you help me put the dishes around the table? (Pause.) Awesome, helper! WOW, this meal looks amazing! Let’s invite some friends to dinner. I see some friends that look hungry. Go choose a friend to bring to dinner. (Pause.) That was a wonderful meal we got to enjoy with our friends!”
      • After the Activity: “In our Bible Story today, we’ll hear how Jesus went to someone’s house to eat a meal.”
  • Drive Time
    • While on the go, take turns naming things we can climb. (For example, a ladder, stool, rope, tree, etc.) Talk about how Zacchaeus climbed a tree so he could see Jesus. Jesus was kind and loving to Zaccaheus, because Jesus wanted to be his friend forever.
