At KIDS at the Heights, we’re all about helping our kinder-6th graders follow Jesus in a way that is exciting and meaningful! We absolutely LOVE kids, and we’re passionate about creating safe, fun and engaging environments where they can experience who Jesus is in a personal way. Every week, we open God’s Word and help kids discover His character and His truth. Our prayer is that through Kids Ministry kids will grow confident in who He is and who He’s made them to be. OUR MISSION

As a church, our mission is to wake the world up to Jesus by making disciples who make disciples.

And when it comes to Kids Ministry, we believe this happens best as a team—our church and parents working together to help kids experience five life-shaping truths:

GRACE – We want kids to encounter God’s grace in ways that are fun, engaging, and easy to understand—so they know His love is for them.

GATHER – We encourage kids to come together in community, building friendships as they worship and learn about Jesus.

GROW – We help kids grow as disciples, discovering what it looks like to follow Jesus in their everyday lives.

GIVE – We teach them to use their time, gifts, and God-given abilities to serve others with joy.

GO – And we equip them to live on mission—confident disciple-makers who carry Jesus’ love wherever they go.

Together, we get to help kids take real steps of faith and discover just how deeply God loves them.

We are confident that God is at work in the lives of our kids here at The Heights! Our desire is to create a place where every child experiences safety, love, and a true sense of belonging.

We long to see kids opening God’s Word and discovering it as the life-giving truth that it is. We want to see them worshipping God with joy and wonder, amazed by His awesome and unchanging character. We hope to see them confidently sharing what they know about Jesus with the people they encounter each day.

Above all, our passion is to see the next generation develop a personal, growing relationship with their Savior, Jesus Christ—a faith that takes root now and lasts a lifetime.

SUNDAY MORNING

Every Sunday, our Kindergarten through 6th graders experience both Small Group and Large Group time – each designed to help them grow in their faith in fun and meaningful ways.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Check-In & Pick-Up

Walking into a new place can feel overwhelming, and we want your first experience to be simple and welcoming. If you’re visiting for the first time, you can schedule a meet-up with our Welcome Team by clicking here. They’ll greet you, guide you through the check-in process, and help your family feel at home.

When you check in, your child will receive a name tag. Please place it on the front of their clothing. For birth–6th graders, parents will also receive a security tag with a matching number. You’ll need to show this tag at pick-up for your child’s safety.
Our 5th and 6th graders are self-released, meaning they may leave their classrooms on their own at the end of the service.

Sunday Morning Programming

Every Sunday, children in kindergarten through 6th grade experience both Small Group and Large Group time—each created to help them grow in their faith in fun, meaningful, and age-appropriate ways.

Our curriculum takes kids on a journey through the entire Bible—from Creation to Revelation—and focuses on a specific attribute of God each week.

5th & 6th graders attend the 11am Worship Service with their parents each week. Students will be released to meet up with their parents for the service around 10:50.

Small Group

Kids connect with trusted leaders and friends through conversation, hands-on activities, and play. Everything is designed to help them understand and apply the day’s Bible story in real-life ways.

We also make space for free play and connection, giving kids time to build friendships and feel comfortable in their environment.

Large Group (Kindergarten–4th Grade)

Kids enjoy high-energy worship led by our praise team, a short and engaging Bible message, and a fun group game that brings the lesson to life.

Memory Verse Challenge

Each month, kids are encouraged to memorize Scripture through our monthly memory verse challenge! On the last Sunday of the month, kids can recite the verse to earn a special prize.

To receive a text every Sunday with details about what your child is learning, along with the memory verse, text kidtalk to 45859.

Sunday Funday

Several times a year, we celebrate with something special called Sunday Funday! Kids enjoy a morning filled with inflatables, board games, crafts, and lots of laughter. During the last 30 minutes, we gather as a group for a Bible teaching and video to anchor the fun in God’s Word.

Sunday Funday is a highlight of the year—and a great day to invite a friend!

LIFELINES MINISTRY

BAPTISM CONVERSATION

As a parent, there are so many incredible life moments that you want to make sure you “get right”. The KIDS Ministry at The Heights is dedicated to helping you as a parent discern where your child is in their faith. Every child that wants to be baptized at The Heights will have the opportunity to sit down with one of our KIDS Ministers prior to baptism to discuss salvation and baptism. We want them to be able to understand and verbalize their faith. We want every child to have a safe place to ask questions and find answers about God, Jesus, sin, Heaven, etc.

If your child is ready to discuss salvation and/or baptism, please complete this form to set an appointment. Baptism dates and times are discussed after meeting with our KIDS Pastor.

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

During the school year, our Kindergarten through 6th graders have options to learn about Jesus and worship Him!

THE CHAOS

From 7–8 PM, our 5th and 6th graders have Chaos—a fantastic opportunity for preteens to connect with each other and enjoy age-appropriate fun in a safe, welcoming environment. Each week includes games, a short Bible study, and time to slow down, set aside distractions, and intentionally connect with God.

WORSHIP KIDS

From 6–7 PM our Kindergarten through 6th graders are invited to be part of Worship Kids. This is a fun, high-energy hour where children get to use their gifts to glorify God, celebrate Jesus, and hide His truth in their hearts. Kids will enjoy worship, music, drama, and other creative activities that help them learn and express their faith in meaningful ways.
