KIDS
KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 6TH GRADE
Kids are invited to a POWER-PACKED 2-hour DISCIPLESHIP & WORSHIP experience at The Heights each Sunday at 9:30 and 11 AM.
Discipleship – We take the time to teach the Truth, apply it, reinforce through activities, work on memory verses, and spend time in prayer. Our classes will have small groups with consistent leadership so that the leaders and kids have a relationship.
Worship – We teach God’s Word, have our own Kids Worship Dance Team, and animated storytellers. Kids will get to hear the Word taught on their level.
OUR MISSION
As a church, our mission statement is to “Make disciples by taking personal risks to bring the Gospel to every relationship.”
There are 5 things we believe we can do to support you and your kids as you navigate through life and raise your children:
GRACE – Communicate God’s Grace in a fun and engaging way so that they might understand God’s gift of love for the world, specifically for them.
GATHER – Encourage kids to gather together for Discipleship and Worship.
GROW – Help them to grow as disciples.
GIVE – Teach them to give of themselves and their God-given gifts.
GO – Equip them to become disciple-makers who go and live on mission.
OUR VISION
Isaiah 43:19 states “For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?” And we truly believe that God is about to do something new and exciting in our Kids Ministry here at The Heights.
Our vision is to watch God ignite kids’ hearts to worship him. We know that many times it is the parent’s commitment to God that brings kids to church each Sunday. Our prayer is that parents begin to see their kids commit to worship and learn more about God. We don’t want parents to hope or wonder if their kids will be lifelong worshippers – we want parents to see their kids worshipping God at an early age. We want our kids to understand that worship is more than sitting quietly or passing the time by being on electronics. Our heart beats with yours! We want them to know the One true God and learn how to worship Him at an early age.
We want to grow disciples and disciple-makers. We want your kids to have the opportunity to go deeper in God’s Word and want them to grow deeper as well.
UPCOMING KIDS EVENTS
IN THE CLASSROOM
We seek to create a fun, age-appropriate environment where they are challenged to grow in their faith. We utilize the Gospel Project curriculum in our K-6th grade classrooms. For 5-6th, the Gospel Project Preteen version is used to fit the learning styles of these older kids in a way that teaches them to own their faith in Christ and to begin applying the basic biblical truths in their lives.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE
Kinder thru 4th Grade
Your kids will be warmly welcomed into our KIDS area, located on the 2nd floor in the central hallway. Our greeters will assist you with the check-in process. Upon check-in, you will receive a name tag for your child. Please place it on the front of your child’s clothing. A separate security tag will be given to parents that have a matching security number to their child’s tag. This must be shown by a parent at pickup time.
5th & 6th Graders
Join us in The District both hours. Our new location is across from the gym on the main floor. 5th and 6th graders will be able to check in at The District and will be self-released to the interior of the building to meet parents at a location you have pre-determined.
LIFELINES MINISTRY
This ministry exists to come alongside families of special needs children as they seek to raise their family to know the love of Christ.

MAKING IT “CRYSTAL CLEAR” TO KIDS
When a child is learning to swim, we don’t start them out in the deep end without a life preserver. Rather, we want them to begin blowing bubbles and kicking their feet first. They learn one thing at a time. The same is true of a child learning about what Jesus has done for them. We begin to teach them one thing at a time. We introduce them to God’s love and Jesus’ sacrifice. If there is one thing that we want them to be crystal clear about, it is the topic of their faith.
As a parent, there are so many incredible life moments that you want to make sure you “get right”. The KIDS Ministry at The Heights is dedicated to helping you as a parent discern where your child is in their faith. Every child that wants to be baptized at The Heights will have the opportunity to sit down with one of our KIDS Ministers prior to baptism to discuss salvation and baptism. We want them to be able to understand and verbalize their faith. We want every child to have a safe place to ask questions and find answers about God, Jesus, sin, Heaven, etc.
If your child is ready to discuss salvation and/or baptism, please contact us to set an appointment. Baptism dates and times are discussed after meeting with our KIDS Pastor.
