Today was definitely the toughest day but it was also the most rewarding day!

We started building a couple of “pilas” for a couple of families early in the morning. We had the privilege of sharing the Gospel with them and remind them that the pila is a blessing from God. Our prayer is that it will be a reminder of God’s love for them. 

After lunch, we run a VBS program at Promise Home. We had a blast with the kids that attended and got to see firsthand that they all are learning from the Scriptures. Their teachers are doing an amazing job at Promise Home. 

After VBS, we split into two groups to bless families in the community with rice and beans. We got to bless, share the Gospel, and pray for about 20 different families. 

The Lord is at work in Honduras and at Promise Home. Please keep praying for the community here. That they may know God through a relationship with Christ.

The team worked hard in the morning and finished all three projects at Promise Home. The rooms are painted, the ramp to the church is built, and the structure of the chicken coop is up and ready for a carpenter to start working on it. It’s always a delight to work at a place that is changing so many kids’ lives. Promise is literally a city on a hill!

After a few days of hard work under the Sun, we spent the afternoon in beautiful Tela, Honduras, where we got to relax at the beach for a little bit. 

Tomorrow is our last day of ministry in Honduras and we will be blessing the community and sharing the Gospel in many ways. Please join us in prayer as we go out tomorrow! 

Today the team worked hard all day in spite of the very high temperatures! We have been working on three different projects at Promise Home. (1) Chicken coop structure, which we will finish tomorrow, (2) building a new ramp for the Promise Home church, which we were able to finish today, and (3) painting two of the rooms where the orphans sleep, which we will finish tomorrow morning as well.

We have been able to interact with the kids and the workers and it’s been amazing to see how loved these little ones by the Promise Home staff, and how they are reminded daily of how our Father in heaven loves them above anything else!

Join us in praying for the Promise Home staff, that their strength will be renewed each day by the Lord. And pray for the 15 kids that live in the orphanage, that they will grow to be men and women of God.

Hello church! We had an unexpected start to our trip. Our flight out of DFW was delayed by 9 hours, so we missed our connection to Honduras and had to spend the night in Miami. We finally left for San Pedro Sula on Sunday afternoon and made it here just in time for church at Promise Home.

Our time of worship with our brothers and sisters was very encouraging. The name of Jesus was lifted up in English and Spanish last night!

This morning we made it to the Promise Home orphanage and met the 15 kids that have been rescued. What a joy to see them grow up in a safe and nurturing environment. Most importantly, they’re growing up in the ways of the Lord!

We’re now building a chicken coop that will provide the orphanage with eggs once it’s all finished. We will keep you updated on our progress. Check back for more updates and pictures!!

Today we built pilas for 2 local families. From loading the cement, sand and equipment to then mixing the cement and installing the actual pilas, many hands were at work. 
The receiving families were so thankful as they saw their new pilas used for washing clothes, washing dishes and even bathing small children. We prayed over these families and thanked them for the opportunity to serve them.

We had a successful morning with approximately 100 kids attending VBS. As you can see, the kids enjoyed  crafts, snacks, and the Bible story!!

In the afternoon, we walked the neighborhoods, prayed with families, and distributed rice and beans to those families.

In the evening, it was such a joy to attend the local church service at Promise Home. We continued to minister to families in need by distributing clothing and Bibles. 

The Lord’s hand guided us from sunrise to sunset. Can’t wait for tomorrow!! 
 

Today, we had a VBS for approximately 30 kids located in the Aguacate community. This included a Bible story, memorizing the key verse, craft time, outdoor recreation, and snacks.

After the VBS, we continued painting and installing ceiling fans in both the Promise Home and the school at Aguacate school.

The biggest joy of the day was seeing the children smile when they received BRAND NEW DESKS at the Aguacate school. We carried about 30 desks into the newly painted school. Check out the photos!!

God is doing GREAT things here in Honduras!!
