Engaging with the families that live and work in an area south of The Heights that is largely first generation, Hispanic-Americans.
BUKHAIR ELEMENTARY SPECIAL EVENTS
Bukhair Elementary, our Richardson ISD partner school, has a variety of events throughout the year that provide opportunities to better connect the students and their families to the Bukhair community and continued learning. Join us as we provide support for these events and continue to support this community.
BUKHAIR ELEMENTARY STAFF CARE
The Heights has had a ten year partnership with Bukhair Elementary, our Richardson ISD partner school. It is our hope to increase our presence on campus as we support and care for the faculty and staff. Join us as we continue to build a relationship on this campus to further the gospel.
ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (ESL) CLASSES
The goal of this ministry is to transform lives by providing English as a Second Language instruction to adults who live or work in the Park Central and surrounding area. Classes currently meet at The Heights Creekside campus on Tuesday and Thursdays, from 10am-12pm and 6pm-8pm.
KIDS HOPE MENTORS
Kids Hope USA develops one-on-one relationships through the creation of church-school partnerships that pair church members with at-risk kids in supportive, mentoring relationships. Mentors spend just one hour per week, reading, talking, playing and listening to a child at school. By helping the child feel loved and valued, they help that child to learn, grow and succeed. Prayer Intercessors are also needed to pray for the mentoring relationship and the well being of the child.
KID’S BEACH CLUB
Kid’s Beach Club is an innovative ministry established to mobilize the church to go out into the community and engage with students in order to share the message of Christ. Beach Club is an after school program for elementary age kids that is high energy and “kid centered” fun. Beach Club meets after school for one hour (3-4pm), one day a week (Wednesday), for 24 weeks. Each week, the lessons, games and activities incorporate the truth of scripture through fun.
KIDZ POINTE APARTMENT MINISTRIES
This ministry exist to ENGAGE the community by building trust-relationships through the children, youth, and adult programs in this apartment community. We currently have two apartment ministries at La Mirada Apartments and Teruko Springs.
