WHY VISIT?

Moving can be a very traumatic and stressful time for a family. It can certainly be filled with excitement, but that excitement can easily be tempered by the stress of the move.

FINANCIAL BURDENS

Packing your belongings is just a small part of the process. There is the unpacking, setting the house up, connecting all of the utilities, enrolling in new schools, getting used to a new city, and starting a new job. All of this plus much more can weigh heavily on any family.

EMOTIONAL EXPERIENCE

It can be extremely difficult to say goodbye. Leaving close friends and family members can be traumatic. Saying goodbye to the memories made in the previous home can be depressing.

IN NEED OF HOPE

Your visit could provide some much needed HOPE at just the right time. Whether it is just a smile to brighten a day or the beginning of a new friendship - it is our HOPE that your visit will make an impact during a stressful season.

WHO ARE THESE NEIGHBORS?

These are families that have moved from out of state or from a distance greater than 50 miles. They have only been in the area for 30-60 days. We receive these names monthly from a company that tracks new movers based on home sales.  Other than their address, we don't have any information about them. We are simply wanting you to welcome them into their new neighborhood.

CHOOSE YOUR GIFT

A missions team member will send you the address of your new neighbor once you've filled out the form linked below. We will provide a gift for you to take on your visit. There are four options for this gift. This form will confirm for us that you are willing to participate and which gift that you choose to take.

MAKE YOUR VISIT!

FIRST ATTEMPT

Please take your gift to the neighbor that has been given to you. We ask that you introduce yourself and welcome them to the neighborhood. Tell them why you are there. Ask them if they have a church home and invite them to ours. Make sure that your "Welcome to the Neighborhood" card is filled out completely (front and back) with your name and a little greeting from you.

If no one answers on the first visit, please keep the gift and try again in the next day or two.

SECOND ATTEMPT

If you are unable to speak to someone on the second attempt, please just leave your gift at the door. Again, make sure that your "Welcome to the Neighborhood" card is filled out completely (front and back) with your name and a little greeting from you.

HOW DID IT GO?

Please click the link below to fill out the form giving us an idea of what took place on your visit.  If your neighbor visits our church, we will be sure to let you know.
