We believe as a church that faith grows between Sundays. But sometimes, it starts there, too. That’s why we love what God is doing through Alpha, a Wednesday night ministry where people can ask honest questions and explore faith in a safe, welcoming space.

Just ask Kelsea.

Kelsea had tough questions about God. She felt His pull but never had a place to process her doubts. That changed when she joined Alpha. There she met Staci, her table host. Over ten weeks, the two of them built a friendship while exploring God’s Word together. By the end of Alpha, Kelsea found both a new life in Christ and a lifelong friend and mentor in Staci.

The story didn’t end there. Staci baptized Kelsea—and even stood by her side at her wedding (which happened to be on the very same day!).

I immediately felt safe and welcomed. It became something I really looked forward to every week.

During my time in Alpha, I came to realize that while I was highly interested in the facts and loved learning about Jesus, I actually don’t  need answers to all of my questions. What I truly need is faith and a trust in God’s plans for my life and to know that God’s love for us is incomprehensible.

Through Alpha I met some amazing people, started serving in the KIDS ministry, and now have a place that I can show up at my absolute worst and fall into the arms of a community that will always encourage me to turn to our loving God.

This is the power of Alpha.
