Scripture:
Isaiah 53:1–12
Devotional Thought:
Good Friday confronts us with a painful reality: Jesus was profoundly misunderstood. Rejected, dismissed, and ignored, He carried suffering others could not see. People turned away, unaware that God was accomplishing redemption through the cross.
Yet Jesus entered this misunderstanding willingly. He bore our griefs and carried our sorrows so that we could be fully known and fully loved. At the cross, Jesus proves that God understands our pain—not abstractly, but personally.
Today, we remember that the cross is where God meets us in silence, suffering, and longing. We are understood because Jesus entered fully into our brokenness.
Reflection:
• Where do you feel most misunderstood right now?
• How does the cross change how you bring that pain to God?
Application:
Sit quietly before the cross today, offering God the places where you feel unseen, trusting that Jesus meets you there.
