Scripture:
Isaiah 1:16–20
Devotional Thought:
God’s invitation in Isaiah is bold and personal: “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.” Forgiveness is not theoretical here—it’s transformational. God doesn’t simply tolerate His people; He offers to cleanse them completely
Notice how forgiveness is paired with repentance and obedience. This isn’t about earning grace, but about responding to it. God’s mercy invites change, not avoidance. When forgiveness is received, it reshapes how we live, how we choose, and how we trust God moving forward.
If you’re longing for forgiveness, remember this: God’s grace is greater than your worst moment. No stain is too deep for His mercy to wash clean.
Reflection:
1. What words or images come to mind when you think about forgiveness?
2. Are you trusting God’s promise to cleanse, or still holding onto guilt He has released?
Application:
Write down Isaiah 1:18 and return to it when shame resurfaces.
