WEEK THREE

Preschool

I can do what Jesus says.

Talk About the Bible Story

Good Samaritan
Luke 10:25-37; Galatians 6:2

Jesus tells a story about a Samaritan man who cares for someone who has been hurt.

MEMORY VERSE

"Be kind and loving to each other."

Ephesians 4:32, NCV

Engagement Questions

  • Who can do what Jesus says?
  • What can you do to care for others?

Prayer

"Dear God, thank You for sending Jesus to teach us how to care for one another. Please help us do what Jesus says and care for others. Thank You for always hearing us and loving us, God. You’re the best! In Jesus’ name. Amen."

ENGAGE IN EVERYDAY MOMENTS TOGETHER

Morning Time

When you go into your child’s room, cuddle them and say: "Good morning, [child's name]! It's time to wake up and be kind and loving to each other!"

Drive Time

While on the go, talk about how God made people different, and that's a good thing! Jesus wants us to love and care for everyone, even people who are different from us, just like the Good Samaritan.

Cuddle Time

Cuddle with your child and pray: "Dear God, we have been talking about the story Jesus told about the Good Samaritan. Please help [child's name] and me be kind and loving, like the Samaritan man, and stop to care for people when they need help."

Bath Time

Add a doctor's kit and some toy friends to bath time. Encourage your child to care for the friends as you talk about how the Samaritan man stopped to care for the hurt man and his boo-boos.
