Jesus Heals Peter's Mother-in-law
Matthew 8:14-15

While Jesus is at Peter's house, Jesus touches Peter's mother-in-law's hand and her fever goes away.

Prayer

"Dear God, we have some friends and family who are sick or have a boo-boo. We know You can do anything, so we are praying for them today. Will You please help [name of person] get better? We love You, God. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

ENGAGE IN EVERYDAY MOMENTS TOGETHER

Morning Time

When you go into your child’s room, cuddle them and say: "Good morning, [child's name]! Can you stretch? Can you wiggle your fingers? Can you stand up? Can you stand on one foot? Do you know who can do anything? Jesus! Jesus can do anything!"
 

Drive Time

While on the go, take turns naming people in your family. Talk about how one time someone in Peter's family was sick. When Jesus saw that she was sick, Jesus touched her hand and made her all better!

Cuddle Time

Cuddle with your child and pray: "Dear God, thank you for [name of family members]. Help our family remind each other that Jesus wants to be our friend forever and Jesus can do anything."
 

Bath Time

Add a toy doctor's kit and friends to bath time. Tell your child their friends are sick and need a doctor. As your child helps their sick friends, talk about the time Jesus helped a sick woman. Jesus saw her lying in bed sick. Jesus touched her hand and made her all better!
