Jesus Feeds the 5,000
John 6:1-14

Jesus miraculously feeds over 5000 people with just five loaves of bread and two fish!

Prayer

"Dear God, thank You for yummy food like ____. Help us to talk to You about what we need. Food, friends, boo-boos…You can help us with anything. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

ENGAGE IN EVERYDAY MOMENTS TOGETHER

Morning Time

When you go into your child’s room, cuddle them and say: "Good morning, [child's name]! Are you hungry? Once there were over 5,000 hungry people with Jesus. Jesus fed all of the people with just five loaves of bread and two fish, because Jesus can do anything!"
 

Drive Time

While on the go, look for places that have food. When you see one, take guesses at how many people are eating at that food place. Talk about how Jesus did something amazing and fed over 5,000 people with just five loaves of bread and two fish! Wow! Jesus can do anything!

Cuddle Time

Cuddle with your child and pray: "Dear God, thank You that we get to read the Bible and learn about Jesus. Jesus can calm a storm, make sick people better, and feed over 5,000 people with five loaves of bread and two fish! Help us remember to talk to Jesus when we need help because Jesus can do anything!"
 

Bath Time

Add toy foods, plastic bowls, measuring cups, and a spoon to bath time. Pretend you are ordering food and your child is the chef. As your child stirs and pours, talk about the time Jesus fed over 5,000 people with only five loaves of bread and two fish. Jesus can do anything.
