Zacchaeus
Luke 19:1-10

A tax collector named Zacchaeus is happy when Jesus wants to go to his house.

Prayer

"Dear God, thank You that Jesus is always a good friend. Knowing that Jesus wants to be our friend forever makes us the happiest! Thank You for other things that make us happy, too. We love You, God! In Jesus’ name. Amen."

ENGAGE IN EVERYDAY MOMENTS TOGETHER

Morning Time

When you go into your child’s room, cuddle them and say: "Good morning, [child's name]! Rain or shine, today is going to be a great day, because Jesus is always a good friend!"
 

Drive Time

While on the go, name as many things as you can that make you feel happy. Talk about how Jesus made Zacchaeus happy when He went to Zacchaeus' house.

Cuddle Time

Cuddle with your child and pray: "Dear God, Jesus is the best friend ever! Jesus loves us when we're happy. Jesus loves us when we're sad. Jesus loves us all the time! We are so glad You gave us Jesus!"
 

Bath Time

Encourage your child to use bath crayons to draw happy faces on the tub. Talk about how happy Zacchaeus was when Jesus told him He was going to Zacchaeus' house!
