MEMORY VERSE

"A friend loves you all the time."

Proverbs 17:17, NCV

Engagement Questions

  • Who is always a good friend?
  • What makes you feel excited?

Prayer

"Dear God, thank You for all of the things that make us feel excited…and Jesus! Knowing that Jesus is always a good friend is the most exciting thing ever! We love You, God! In Jesus’ name. Amen."

ENGAGE IN EVERYDAY MOMENTS TOGETHER

Morning Time

When you go into your child’s room, cuddle them and say: "Good morning, [child's name]! Let's guess if it's sunny or rainy. Okay, let's look! It's [rainy/sunny]! Now who do you think is always a good friend? Jesus! Jesus is always a good friend!"

Drive Time

While on the go, talk about things that make you feel excited—like Christmas morning excited! Then talk about how excited the man was when Jesus made all of the boo-boos on his skin go away. The man was so excited he shouted praises to God and ran back to tell Jesus thank you!

Cuddle Time

Cuddle with your child and pray: "Dear God, thank You that [child's name] and I can talk to Jesus about the things that make us feel excited. Jesus wants us to talk to Him about everything!"

Bath Time

Make bath time more exciting with soap confetti. You can also add fun music or even wear party hats! Do whatever is exciting for your child. Talk about how excited the man was after Jesus made all of the boo-boos on his skin go away. The man shouted praises to God and told Jesus thank you!
