Happy Birthday, Jesus!

Christmas is when we celebrate the birth of God's Son, Jesus.

ENGAGE IN EVERYDAY MOMENTS TOGETHER

Morning Time

When you go into your child’s room, cuddle them and say: "Good morning, [child's name]! Let's start today with telling Jesus happy birthday since Christmas is all about Jesus' birthday. When I count to three, say, 'Happy birthday, Jesus!' One, two, three...Happy birthday, Jesus!"
 

Drive Time

While on the go, name the different Christmas decorations you see. Then talk about why we celebrate Christmas with parties, food, decorations, and gifts—because it's Jesus' birthday! Jesus is special because Jesus is God's Son, so we celebrate Jesus in a big way!

Cuddle Time

Cuddle with your child and pray: "Dear God, we have been doing a lot of fun things to celebrate Christmas. We just want to take time right now to say thank You for giving us Your Son, Jesus. Happy birthday, Jesus! We love You!"
 

Bath Time

Add bubbles, a plastic spoon, measuring cup, and bowl to bath time. Encourage your child to pretend to make a birthday cake for Jesus. Then sing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus together. Don't forget to clap and cheer for Jesus!
