Talk About the Bible Story

King Hezekiah Prays to God
Isaiah 37:14-21, 35; 39:1-6

God hears King Hezekiah when he prays for his city and when he is very sick.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart."

Proverbs 3:5, NIV

Prayer

"Dear God, thank You for loving us and listening to us when we talk to You. Thank You that we can talk to You about anything! We know you’ve got it God, and we love You very much! In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

ENGAGE IN EVERYDAY MOMENTS TOGETHER

Morning Time

When you go into your child’s room, cuddle them and say: "Good morning, [child's name]! Let's start the day talking to God. We can tell God anything, because we can talk to God about anything!" (Pray together.)
 

Drive Time

While on the go, talk about how we can talk to God about anything. Then, take turns thanking God for things you see.

Cuddle Time

Cuddle with your child and pray: "Dear God, I'm so glad [child's name] and I can talk to You about anything. You love us, and You just want us to talk to You. Today, we want to talk to You about...(ask your child what they want to talk to God about). We love You, God!"
 

Bath TimeAGather a few small items, like a toy animal, flower, and person. During bath time, line the items along the tub and cover them with a cup. Each time your child lifts a cup, say: "We can talk to God about [name of item]." End saying: "We can talk to God about anything!"
