Talk About the Bible Story

Burning Bush
Exodus 3:1-18, 6:11; Psalm 118:7

God speaks to Moses from a burning bush and tells Moses to lead God's people out of Egypt.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart."

Proverbs 3:5, NIV

Engagement Questions

• Who's got it?
• What does God want us to do? (Love others, share, etc.)

Prayer

"Dear God, You know everything, and You love us. That means You always know what’s best for us. Help us trust You and do what You say, like Moses did. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

ENGAGE IN EVERYDAY MOMENTS TOGETHER

Morning Time

When you go into your child’s room, cuddle them and say: "Good morning, [child's name]! It's a new day to trust in the Lord with all our heart!"
 

Drive Time

While on the go, look for bushes. What color are they? Are they big or small? Talk about how God used a burning bush to to get Moses' attention so Moses would listen to God.

Cuddle Time

Cuddle with your child and pray: "Dear God, help [child's name] and me trust You and do what You say like Moses did. We know You love us and will always know what is best for us."
 

Bath Time

Add orange bath foam/soap to bath time. Tell your child to separate the bubbles into balls and let them float on top of the water. Talk about how the bubbles look like little burning bushes, like the one God used to talk to Moses. Moses trusted that God's got it...and He did!
