This year we’ve chosen to partner with Operation Christmas Child (OCC) as a way to serve our world.

The mission of OCC is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Since 1993, more than 188 million children in more than 170 countries and territories have received an OCC shoebox. As a result, 12.5 million boys and girls have made a decision to follow Christ.

How it works:

  • Pick up a shoebox in the Atrium (November 14 - 28)
  • Fill your box with fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies. Don’t forget to include a personal note and photo – sometimes these are the child’s favorite things to receive.
  • Check the appropriate boxes on the label for boy or girl and the age range.
  • PRAY! Most importantly “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17) for the child who will receive your shoebox gift.
    • Their family to be receptive to the good news of Jesus Christ
    • The pastor of the church who delivers your shoebox gift
    • Their community to be transformed by the gospel
    • Pray specifically for:

All boxes need to be returned to the church NO LATER than December 5.
