Scripture: Lamentations 3:22-26
22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. 24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” 25 The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; 26 it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.
Devotional Thought:
Maybe 2025 was a year of blessing. Or maybe it was one of the hardest years you’ve faced. Either way, here’s what’s true: you made it. And the God who carried you—even when you couldn’t feel him—is the same God meeting you today. His compassions are new every morning. Not because last year was easy, but because that’s who he is. As you step into 2026, you don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to show up each morning to a God whose mercy is already waiting for you.
Reflection Question:
What are you most hopeful for in the year ahead?
Application:
Gather your family together today and have each person share one thing they’re excited about or hoping for in 2026. Then pray together, asking God to lead your family into this new year.
