E and K felt called to overseas work before they ever knew each other. In fact, it’s one of the things that first attracted them to each other…a heart for overseas work and a heart to share Truth with the world. They married in 1994, but it wasn’t until 13 years later that the Father opened the door for them to move overseas and serve. In 2007, E and K began the process through the IMB to pursue the Father’s open doors. In 2008 they quit their jobs, sold everything, and moved their family of 4 to Uganda, Africa. They spent 6 amazing years there learning how to share Truth in a foreign context, learning a new language and culture, learning how to disciple believers, and learning how to love as Christ loved. E and K’s hearts grew for the lost and especially for those who have little to no access to the Truth.
In 2013, the Father began to call E and K to more unreached, unengaged people. And in 2014 they moved their family of 4 to the Middle East where they worked with a people group that is 99% Muslim. They had much to learn as this was a totally different context than Uganda. But, God doesn’t call us into what we know, He simply calls us to be faithful. E and K loved their 7 years there serving as teachers and shining Light into the darkness. In 2020 they were asked to consider stepping into a new role as a support to other overseas workers. After much prayer, they felt the Father’s nudging to transition into this new role of Member Care. They now have the privilege of working with approximately 100 families in about 5 different countries. E and K’s role is to be a support, encouragement, and resource for families who are on the front line. They believe it has been an incredible blessing to walk alongside these folks and point them to the truth of His Word. May we all seek to serve one another with His Truth!
