Opening Prayer
Gracious God, as I begin this journey of reflection, I come before You with gratitude. Thank You for Your presence in every moment of this past year—in the joys and sorrows, the peaks and valleys, and even the ordinary days. Quiet my heart now and help me to see this year through Your eyes. Open my spirit to remember what You want me to remember. Amen.
Scripture
· Psalm 103:1–5
· Psalm 100:4
Reflection
Before we explore the complexities of the past year, we begin with thanksgiving. Psalm 103 urges us to “forget not all His benefits”—reminding us that God’s mercy and goodness are threaded through every season.
Ask the Holy Spirit to highlight what He wants you to notice from this year:
· What are you grateful for?
· When did God feel especially near?
· When did you feel most known, loved, or at peace?
· What significant moments or turning points stand out?
Application
· Today’s Practice: Write a gratitude list of at least 10 things from the past year—include people, small mercies, answered prayers, and meaningful moments.
· Carry This With You: Throughout today, pause often and thank God when you notice His goodness. Before bed, add three more things to your list.
Closing Prayer
Thank You, God, for Your presence in the past year. Open my heart in the days ahead as I continue this journey of reflection. Help me to see with Your eyes and to live with a heart full of gratitude. Amen.
