March 16: Created for Connection

Scripture:
Genesis 2:18–25

Devotional Thought:
God’s declaration in Genesis is striking: “It is not good for the man to be alone.” This comes before sin, before brokenness, before the fall. Longing for belonging is not a weakness—it’s woven into creation itself. We were made for relationship, designed to know and be known.

This passage reminds us that isolation was never God’s intention. Belonging is part of His good design. Yet many of us carry loneliness quietly, assuming it’s something to overcome rather than something to acknowledge. Scripture invites us to name that longing honestly before God.

If you feel disconnected or unseen, remember this: your desire for belonging reflects the heart of a relational God who made you for community.

Reflection:
• Where do you feel most connected right now? Where do you feel most alone?
• How do you typically respond when loneliness surfaces?

Application:
Take one small step toward connection this week—reach out, respond to an invitation, or initiate a conversation you’ve been avoiding.
