March 6: Living Free After Forgiveness

Scripture:
Romans 8:1–11

Devotional Thought:
Forgiveness doesn’t just erase guilt—it ushers us into freedom. Romans 8 begins with a stunning declaration: “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Not less condemnation. Not delayed condemnation. None.

Yet many of us live as if forgiveness were temporary or fragile. We replay old failures, punish ourselves internally, and forget that God has already declared us free. Life in the Spirit means learning to live out what is already true.

If you’ve been forgiven, you don’t have to live under the weight of yesterday anymore. Freedom is not pretending sin never happened—it’s trusting that grace has spoken the final word.

Reflection:
• Where do you still feel condemned despite God’s forgiveness?
• How would your week look different if you truly believed you are free?

Application:
As you head into the weekend, ask God to help you live from forgiveness, not for it.
