Scripture:
Ephesians 6:10-20 (ESV)
Devotional Thought:
Jesus resisted every temptation in the wilderness by wielding the Word of God. Likewise, Paul calls believers to take up the sword of the Spirit—the only offensive weapon in the armor of God.
Spiritual warfare is real. Temptation, distraction, and lies come at us daily. But we are not left defenseless. Scripture is powerful, precise, and sufficient. When the enemy whispers, “You’re not enough,” we respond with, “I am chosen, holy, and beloved.” When fear rises, we proclaim, “God has not given me a spirit of fear.”
Lent is not just about denial—it’s about preparation for battle. As Jesus did, we anchor ourselves in the truth and speak it boldly. The Word is not just information—it’s transformation.
Reflection Questions:
1. What lie from the enemy do you often believe?
2. Which Scripture promises do you need to wield today?
3. How can you begin to store God’s Word in your heart?
Application:
Write down three Scriptures that speak to your current battles and declare them aloud during your prayer time today.
