What do you run for?

Congratulations to all the runners from The Heights who participated in the 13.1 Series Half Marathon on October 22nd.  We had 70-plus on the team raise over $39,000 toward the Clean Water Project in Uganda!

Health Clinic: A new outpatient ward was built at the Kyalulangira Health Care Center that offers maternity care, immunizations, a laboratory and general out patient care.

Water Project: The Heights is currently in the second year of a three year commitment to bring clean water and proper sanitation to nearly half of the 31,000 people who live in Kyalulangira.  The Heights has committed to invest $264,000 to this project over a three year period.  We are currently in our 3rd year and still need approximately $60,000 to fully fund this project. Rain harvesting, sanitation, and education are three main components of this project. [Read More - 21mb PDF]
