Rolls or Cinnamon Bread Recipe - Chris Ferrell

  • 2 cups warm/hot water
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 5 cups flour
  • 1 package yeast
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt 

Roll out the rolls and place on a baking sheet.  Let rise for 45 minutes.  Bake rolls at 350 degrees for 9-11 minutes. If you want to make cinnamon bread, roll out 1 1/2 cups of dough and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.  Roll up the loaf.  Cut slices in the top and let it rise for 45 minutes to 4 hours.  Crack an egg and scramble it.  Use a brush to go over the bread loaf and then bake 11-13 minutes. (Breadmaker makes it easier) Icing = 2 Tbsp butter, 1/4 cup cream, 3 cups powdered sugar
