Upward Basketball and Cheerleading
Upward™ is an evangelistic sports ministry dedicated to promoting community outreach, developing volunteer leadership in your church, and sharing the love of Christ with children and their families.
Specifically designed for K - 6th grade boys and girls, Upward sports programs seek to develop the self-esteem of each participant, while teaching sportsmanship, character, athletic skills, and respect for authority in every situation.
Upward sports leagues and camps are designed to teach children that winning is not determined by their game day performance but rather by learning and/or teaching lessons in the game of life.
We are looking for coaches for our Upward Basketball teams and Cheer squads. Practices will begin the end of November. Games will begin the first of December and end mid February. Time required is one hour a week for practice and one hour on Saturday for games. If you are interested, please contact Marilyn Hansen at 972-231-6047 or .
The early registration cost per child for basketball is $75; after October 4, the cost is $85. The early registration cost per child for cheerleading is $75; after October 4, the cost is $85. Deadline for registration is October 22. Basketball shorts are included in the registration cost. Cheerleading mock turtlenecks are included in the registration cost.
