Upward is a Basketball League & Cheer Program
for K-6th grade boys and girls.
Children do not have to attend The Heights or any other church to participate. All children in the community are welcome!
UPWARD is FUN & ENCOURAGING!
Our volunteer Coaches & Referees are trained to teach and help each child enjoy the Upward Experience. Kids will learn a sport and develop important life skills along the way. Our goal is for all participants and their families to have a great time all season long!
The BASKETBALL league involves competition. However, we use a system to put together balanced teams. The game rules are such that every child at every skill level participates equally.
The CHEER program is non-competitive, but the participants learn real cheers and cheer skills.
Registration begins August 28 and ends on October 20.
Registration Fee is $90.
If you register by October 4,
you pay a discounted fee of only $80.
Evaluations/Uniform-Sizing events will be held between September 29 and October 20. You will have six different dates from which to choose. You may attend whichever day/date is the most convenient for your family. Dates are listed in the FACT SHEET. Attendance is MANDATORY for all participants.
Practices begin November 10 and the first Game weekend is December 2 and 3. (Note: Only the 5th/6th grade teams will occasionally play on Friday nights.) All game dates are listed in the FACT SHEET.
At the end of the season on February 12 we will have a fantastically fun celebration for the whole family that you won’t want to miss!

- Complete a Registration Form: Available in the Children’s wing (at church on Sundays) & available at the church office. Return it in person or by mail.
