Ministry at The Heights: Associate Minister to Students

Family: I have been married to my beautiful wife, Ashley, for three years now, and we have a two-year old daughter named Ivy.

"On my off time, chances are you will find me..." at the duck pond with my wife and daughter, riding my road bike, watching a movie or hanging with friends. If we're talking vacation, my wife and I love going to the beach. Whether it's visiting my family in California, or my wife's family in South Carolina, we always figure out a way to enjoy the coast!

What are you listening to these days? Music: I've been listening to a pretty wide range of music that's included some Bob Marley, U2, Counting Crows, David Crowder, David Grey and The Boss.
Podcasts: Lately I've been listening to a lot of Matt Chandler and Francis Chan

"I've experienced The Heights to be..." A sweet place with lots of coffee! It's been awesome to worship and serve with a bodyt of believers who genuinely loves God and is so intentional in serving locally and globally. As a church we are being very faithful to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20)

3 Must see movies:
Hoosiers - about an Indiana high school basketball team... Awesome!
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Cinderella Man - the story of James Braddock, a boxer who lived in the 1930's.

3 must read books:
Shadow of the Almighty, The Life and Testament of Jim Elliot by Elisabeth Elliot
Simply Christian by N.T. Wright
Into the Wild by John Krakauer

Song that is rattling around inside you these days: David Crowder's version of "How He Loves."

What are you longing for? To see students develop a passion to worship and follow Jesus with their entire lives.

Where do you practice SERVE? Ashley and I practice serve with the neighbors in our apartment complex. Over the past couple of years of living there we have been able to build some really great relationships with the people we live around.

What is your favorite meal/restaurant? My favorite meal is breakfast. I could eat breakfast at any time of the day, and if I were eating at Cracker Barrel, I would eat breakfast three times a day and have breakfast for dessert. I'd then finish off the night with a little bacon for a snack.

Team you scream for: I scream for the USA in the Olympics (any sport), I love the Olympics! I scream for the Aggies (any sport) and the Dallas Cowboys.
