Bible verse currently being used by the Holy Spirit in my life:

John 1:6-8 (The Message) “There once was a man, his name John, sent by God to point out the way to the Life-Light. He came to show everyone where to look, who to believe in. John was not himself the Light; he was there to show the way to the Light.

John 1:12-18 (The Message) “But whoever did want him, who believed he was who he claimed and would do what he said, He made to be their true selves, their child-of-God selves. These are the God-begotten, not blood-begotten, not flesh-begotten, not sex-begotten. The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, Generous inside and out, true from start to finish. John pointed him out and called, ‘This is the One! The One I told you was coming after me but in fact was ahead of me. He has always been ahead of me, has always had the first word.’ We all live off his generous bounty, gift after gift after gift. We got the basics from Moses, and then this exuberant giving and receiving, This endless knowing and understanding – all this came through Jesus, the Messiah. No one has ever seen God, not so much as a glimpse. This one-of-a-kind God-Expression, who exists at the very heart of the Father, has made him plain as day.”

What I'm most excited about at The Heights right now is:  The future, this moment in time God is giving us to look outside these walls.

When I think of sports, I think of:
NFL Football, nothing better.

A book I am reading right now & you should read too:  How the Mighty Fall by Jim Collins.

In 6 months, I want to look back and know I accomplished this: That my neighbors get a better and better picture of Jesus as they see Kel and I living among them, that we showed people where to look and who to believe in!

The 2012 Texas Rangers season will be best described by: Finally a Championship!.

Social Networking, to me, is: A necessary distraction.

I personally connect to the people God placed in  my neighborhood by: Neighborhood Gatherings; Party on the Patio; Dinner with the gang at least once a week!

My favorite TV show is: NCIS.

I am currently praying for:  My son-in-law to get a job; for Kel and I to be great and accurate pictures of Jesus; for my neighbors to understand how much God loves them
and believes in them.

My favorite restaurant in the DFW is: Hibiscus
