We believe each child is a gift from the Lord, therefore we take it seriously that we are called to raise them up to know the Lord and understand His character and desires for the lives of the children that make their place of worship here at The Heights. There are three things within the Children’s Ministry that we strive for:

  • To lay the foundation for a child to accept Jesus Christ as Savior.
  • To guide children to grow and develop in Christ-likeness (moral and spiritual values).
  • To prepare children for a life of service to the Lord.

Childrens BoysIn all of our programs we teach concepts about God, Jesus, and the Bible through activity areas and group time because we are laying the foundation for their spiritual growth as they learn by "doing." Your children will experience an exciting, fun and safe environment with classes led by caring adults who will help them get to know God in a real and personal way.

Children are a priority at The Heights, and we view our responsibilities to nurture the next generation as biblical. Our leaders will do everything possible to guide your children in their spiritual journey. We realize that parents and guardians are the primary spiritual leaders in the home, so we also offer tools to equip you as you instill biblical truths and values with your child.

Childrens GirlWe invite all children in K-6 to join us in KDOG Club on Sunday mornings. KDOG Club is a kid-friendly, high energy, life-changing experience focused on kids learning to Depend on God. Children will learn more about who God is, grow to love His Word and to apply His Word to their everyday life.

We utilize the 252 Basics Curriculum, modeled after Luke 2:52, “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.” The curriculum is built around 3 basic truths every child should embrace:

  1. I need to make the wise choice
  2. I can trust God no matter what.
  3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

KDOG Club is offered at 9:15 a.m. and 10:50 a.m.on Sunday mornings. All of these classes are located on the second floor of the children’s building in the KDOG hallway. As you enter the hallway you will be greeted by Big Dog and others who will be glad to help you find your room. Take a moment to fill out the registration form attached and bring it with you on Sunday morning to assist with check in. (Would like to be able to download the form we use here, so the words would need to be highlighted to that when they click it the form comes up—it would also be good to have a map of the facility to be accessible here, that might show where they park, the doors to enter through and the check in station).

Arrival - When you arrive in the atrium downstairs, stop at the greeter stand and they will escort you up to the KDOG foyer and assist you through our check in process. Upon check in, parents will received a nametag for their child that will be worn on the front of their clothing on the left shoulder. A separate tag will be given to the parents of K-2, that has a matching security number that is also on their child’s tag, this must be shown by a parent for child pickup. Children in grades 3-6 will meet their parents outside the KDOG foyer after KDOG Club. The earliest you can arrive to drop off your child is 9:05 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
