What are you longing for? I long to see people hear and respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 3:18). I long for every person who is a part of our church to connect everything we do here to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and for each of us to be prepared to share those words of grace with anyone and everyone. Without Jesus I’m a “successful,” preoccupied, blinded, and eternally condemned man like so many others. We each only have a few decades to bring the Gospel to people and I’m not wasting it.
Where do you practice SERVE? At least one to three times each week I partner with a ministry called “Apartment Life” which plants teams in apartment complexes to engage their community and bless others. Our mission is to place ten teams in ten apartment communities with the purpose of relational evangelism. As a family, we are very invested in our neighborhood and bringing some love to the awesome folks that live around us! My College/Singles small groups routinely serve others at places like Cornerstone Baptist Church, Mission Arlington, Prison Ministry, Campus Ministries, and others.
Favorite Meal/Restaurant: Pay attention now… A “Beef on Weck” sandwich with a side of legit Buffalo Wings from “Brennan’s” in Williamsville, NY. As a close second, I’ve been known to enjoy a big bowl of pasta with some chicken parm covered in fresh mozzarella in downtown Buffalo, NY at “Chef’s” restaurant. Not big on veal.
Team you scream for: The 27 time (and counting) Reigning World Champion New York Yankees. They win so much I rarely need to scream, and mostly get to smile and cheer, like my father, grandfather, and great-grandfather before me. I’m glad my son is now a part of that great tradition.
