An Outreach to Needy Women in our Community

Mission
Compassionate Hearts Ministry connects Heights women with women in our community who need help and encouragement. We work hand-in-hand with organizations such as The Samaritan Inn - a homeless shelter in McKinney, New Beginning - a center for abused women, Christian Women's Job Corp, and Friendship House - a ministry that provides help for low-income families. We reach out and nurture needy women at these places.

How This Works
Once a month we go to a different site. Heights women bring a meal or refreshments and provide a gift bag with toiletries and other items for each needy woman at the outreach site. The Prayer Shawl Ministry also provides a shawl for each woman. Heights women will have time at the outreach site to get to know the women, and then follow-up with a card and a commitment to pray for the women at their table.

We Need Your Compassionate Heart
Join us as we provide meals, encouragement, gifts and most of all the love of Christ to hurting women. You will make a difference in the lives of women who want so much to feel someone cares. Imagine what it's like to live in a homeless shelter, maybe with small children. Or to be forced out of your home into a center for abused women.
