Grades K-5 follow the Sunday Morning Format shown below at the 9:15 hour and at the 10:50 hour.
Small Group Time - Children participate in a Plug In Activity designed to introduce them to the day's topic in a setting that gives them individualized attention and interaction with other children. After arriving back from their Large Group Time, they focus on the Catch On activity. Catch On is designed to help children understand how the day's topic applies to them in their everyday lives. They discuss real life experiences, interact with other children who are peers, and participate in a variety of activities that appeal to different learning styles. Life application, memory verse, and prayer activities are always a part of this hands-on time.
Large Group Time -
story told by utilizing worship, drama, props, puppets, and videos to communicate the Bible Story.
Second Small Group Time - Features shepherding
groups, with approximately 8 kids per teacher, where your children have the opportunity to learn how to apply the Bible Story to
their own lives using games and activities.
Our 6th grade class uses a curriculum
titled, “Everything You Need to Know to be a Teenager,” that addresses topics specific to this age group.
Departure - Please
make sure you pick your child up no later than 10:40 a.m. for the early hour and 12:15 p.m. for the later hour. Children who are guests will not
be allowed to leave on their own. Children in K-2nd
grade must be picked up by a
parent. We do not allow children to be released to siblings because we want to offer the best learning environment for your
children which includes peace of mind for both children and parents with assurance that no one will get left behind. Children in 3rd-6th
grade are allowed to leave on their own. Nametags are provided for all children and adults in KDOG. We use the Fellowship One check-in
system. All who enter the KDOG hallway must stop to register and receive a nametag before entering the classroom.
