Crosswalk
Adult Bible Fellowship (ABF)
Meets:
Sunday at 10:50am in Room 214.
Leadership:
Miles & Allie Melbert
Mission Statement:
The Crosswalk ABF strives to grow spiritually, as couples and individuals by learning what God’s Word says about His plans for our lives, and by using opportunities to help and give to those in need.
We are blessed to have a wonderful group of people with many talents. We are supportive and encourage those who may feel led to teach, lead, host or even serve somewhere else for the glory of God.
Demographics/Culture Summary:
We are 30 somethings (and then some), from Richardson, Murphy, Wylie, Sachse, Garland, Frisco, The Colony, McKinney, Dallas and the Plano area.
There is a mixture of occupations represented. Builders, entrepreneurs, technologists, financiers, doctors, stay-at-home moms – we span them all!
We have families with children in elementary school, nursery and some who are beginning the process of starting a family.
Service Projects:
Our class has a heart for reaching out and taking care of those we know are hurting. When we are made aware of someone who is hurting, we are quick to provide whatever means we have. Whether that means children’s clothing for an unexpected adoption, food to a friend’s neighbor we’ve never met, or even writing an encouraging note to someone we don’t know. We find it a blessing and joy to reach out and do something for someone who needs it.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
