Neil McClendon - Chi Alpha

If there is one weekend that I could circle on the calendar to be in some very focused prayer for our students, it is Chi Alpha weekend.  Chi Alpha is one of those weekends during the life of our teenagers that God has consistently moved in some profound and powerful ways.  This weekend as our teenagers gather in homes throughout our community and sit under the teaching of Neil McClendon, please join me in asking God to move in ways that their lives will never be the same.  For some, this may be the weekend that salvation takes place in the lives of some teenagers here at The Heights.  For others, a renewed passion for living intentionally for Christ may be the result of the weekend.  For all, a time of great fun, much laughter, lots of food, little sleep, and moments with friends new and old that could impact lives in some eternally significant ways.

I look forward to worshiping with you at The Heights on Sunday morning and trust you will make it a point to be in God’s house with the rest of The Heights family.  We will be fortunate to get a taste of what our students experienced over the weekend as Neil McClendon, Lead Pastor of Grand Parkway Baptist Church in Sugarland, will bring the message in both services.  Neil is one of those unique communicators who always serves “fresh bread” straight from the Bible whenever and wherever he preaches.  This promises to be an incredible weekend and I implore you to join me in praying “big prayers” for all that will be unfolding over this weekend at The Heights.

God Bless,
Gary

P.S.  Check out the new worship blogs that Trent Blackley has started for our 9:15 worship service (http://915worship.blogspot.com) and that Logan Walter has started for the 10:50 service (http://1050worship.blogspot.com).  Hopefully these two blogs will help you throughout the week as they give you additional insights and resources for worshiping intentionally.
