Last weekend was one of those Sundays when I really sensed that those who were in the room with me were connecting with the things that God had laid on my heart to share. Being a people who not only are in the Word of God on a daily basis as we teach it to our children, but also being a people who are living the Word of God to a watching world has been resting with a deep weightiness in my soul in recent days. Thank you for listening so attentively last week. This Sunday I will wrap up this two part sermon series from Psalm 119 we’re calling IN IT TO LIVE IT.
I look forward to showing you some great examples of just a few of our young people who are being shaped and formed by the Word of God. Seeing these children hiding God’s Word in their little hearts has been such an encouragement to me and will surely be the same for you. I pray you are learning your A-B-C’s from the Scripture memory card we gave you last Sunday. If you did not get one, know that we will have more available this weekend or you can click here to download (PDF) a copy of the A-B-C memory verses.
I pray you will make it a priority to be in God’s house to worship with the rest of The Heights Family this Sunday. As you prepare for that day, may we all be a people who are memorizing God’s Word as we seek to be a people who are IN IT TO LIVE IT.
God Bless,
Gary

New ABF for Single Adults: Wheelhouse
On a ship, the Wheelhouse is where the captain steers his chosen course. In a watermill, it is where the water powers the gears and makes things go. In baseball, it is the sweet spot of a bat that knocks it out of the park every time. At The Heights, “The Wheelhouse” is where Single Adults (40’s, 50’s and early 60’s) meet for fellowship, teaching, and discussion. Join us at The Wheelhouse coming June 13th at 10:50 a.m. in Room 232! For more information, email singles@theheights.org.
