It has been an enjoyable few days of vacation for Kim and me as we have taken some time to rest and relax together. This week I am turning my focus to some days of extended study, prayer and trying to listen to God in moments of quiet. As I pray for you, would you join in praying with me that God would continue giving faithful leadership to us as a church family as we prepare for the upcoming season of finishing up the summer and looking towards the fall?
This weekend we are privileged to have our dear friend, Afshin Ziafat, back in the pulpit to open God’s Word in both services. God continues to use Afshin in a mighty way as he communicates the Gospel literally all over the world. I am confident Afshin will bring a fresh word straight from the Scriptures and the heart of God this weekend. If this is your first time to sit under Afshin’s preaching, you are in for a real treat. If you have heard him in previous times at The Heights then you already know what a powerful communicator of God’s Word that Afshin is. Join me in praying for God to speak through Afshin in a mighty way as we prepare to worship Jesus as a family this Sunday.

THSM Mission Arlington
The Heights Student Ministry is joining forces with Mission Arlington July 28-30. Join us as we serve the community near Arlington, Texas. This 3-day trip is open to all students who have completed 7th-12th grades. Cost is $100. There is no end to the many needs and opportunities available in serving the community and the specifics are assigned to us upon arrival. Uganda Clean Water Display
Make sure you stop by the ENGAGE Center to view the Uganda Clean Water Display. The Heights, along with World Vision, has begun a three year project to bring clean, safe water to our partner village, Kyalulangira, Uganda. At the water display you will learn more about our partnership and clean water project.

Fine Arts @ The Heights
Registration begins August 1! Our purpose through FAITH is to provide quality arts education in a positive Christian environment. Summer Sports Scenes
Join us for the second of our fantastically fun sports camps for children who have completed Kindergarten – 6th grade. Scene 2 is August 4 & 6, and it is a 2-day experience which includes a variety of sports, athletic drills, and active games. Pine Cove Base Camp at The Heights August 9-13
Pine Cove Christian camp is bringing
their program to The Heights this summer. We are hosting day camp from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
at The Heights. Cost is $205 for all children who have completed grades K-4. Activities will
include inflatable water slide, ropes, water activities, team sports, crafts, Bible study, worship,
